While we’re answering the question of how one can make a website, step one is to choose a domain name, then choose your hosting. Your website is not ready without these two workings together. This is why you should need your domain name point to your hosting account.
First off, if you’re starting a website and picking a domain name for your business and registering it.
Afterward, you need to choose your hosting platform, which will be the place where your website files are store.

How to connect your domain name to your hosting account?
Here we explain the steps you need to take to connect your domain name to your hosting account are as follows:
- First of all, you have to log in to your Godaddy account. Go to My Products page under My Account.
- Under Web Hosting, you need to click Manage.
- In the Account Dashboard page, click on cPanel Admin.
- In the cPanel Home page, scroll down and click Addon Domains under the Domains section.
Click on the Addon button and begin typing the name of the domain you would like to add. Then type the folder name (where your files will be store) to use within your hosting area. I would like to tell you that you should keep the folder name similar to your domain so that you remember it.

| Create an FTP account for Addon Domain | Select this checkbox to add here an FTP user account. You’ll define an FTP Username and Password. By this FTP user can access the Document Root and its subdirectories. |
How to find Addon Domain Name Servers detail?
Now you go to the GoDaddy products list again and click on My Products. Under Domains, you’ll see a domain name you’ve assigned for your hosting. Click on the Manage All button. There are all domains list purchased + Addon domains. Click on your newly added domain name and see all records from your domain. Copy the NS record (There are 2 NS records).
How to update Name Servers detail?
Login to your domain registrar. We have a Bigrock domain registrar account. We are giving an example of the same account here. Click on the Order list under the Manage Orders tab.
Click on the domain name you want to connect to the hosting.
A new page will open there. A new popup will open as soon as you click on the Name Servers link.
There are already fill Name Servers detail, you need to remove the Name Servers details here, and paste the details of the new Name Servers that you copied after registering the domain under the Addon domain section.
After the pasting, the new detail clicks on the Update Name Servers button.
You have successfully connected your domain name with web hosting.
Now you want to check your domain that it is connected to the hosting. However, it takes 2–48 days for the domain to connect to the hosting.
